A little about what's happening in our big flower world...

A Redwood Romance | Redwood Grove, Berkeley, CA

When Jessica contacted me to design her wedding flowers, I knew this wedding was going to be a blast! Jessica and Aaron were married at serene Redwood Grove followed by celebratory reception at The Bancroft Hotel in Berkeley, CA. Jessica and Aaron are epitome of fun, outgoing, and full of life. Celebrating the merge of their families turned out to be one festive event with many personal touches and bouts of laughter. Their wedding was such a perfect reflection of their personalities.

For the flowers, Jessica requested variations of pink, coral, white, and green to contrast the groom's men in navy suits. She wanted the flowers to feel romantic, fairytale-esque, and unique. Her exact request for her bouquet was "something fun and wild like me." The flower crowns that adorned the bridesmaids and flower girls were some of our favorite to date. Take a step into the redwoods through their stunning photos...

Jessica & Aaron~ Thank you including me as part of your wedding celebration! Jess, you were one of the easiest brides ever. Thank you for giving me creative freedom to design something beautiful and special just for you. I've loved watching your kids grow through photos. Best of wishes on your many adventures to come!

Oakland Country Club Wedding with Summer Corals and Blush | Sequoia Country Club | Oakland, CA

Monica and Phil knew just what would look perfect for their August wedding in Oakland, CA. Fresh and romantic blooms in soft corals, white, and blush to highlight the Mediterranean-style clubhouse at the Sequoia Country Club. The sun was warm, the breeze light, and these two were just so much fun! Whitewashed birdcages rested alongside milk glass vessels on the dining tables with tiny succulent guest favors at each place setting. Monica's bouquet was filled with cafe au lait dahlias, blushing bride protea, spray garden roses, and scabiosa balls all hand-tied with Silk and Willow plant-dyed flowing ribbon. And what can I say about the resurrection of carnations...these coral carnies will kill all your dispositions about 80's carnation boutonnieres paired with baby blue tuxedos and mullets. All in all, it was a gorgeous day to celebrate an awesome couple. Thank you Monica and Phil for letting us be part of your special day! Cheers to endless years of laughter and love together.

The Bride and Blooms | San Francisco, CA

We got our little paws on a few photos from the San Francisco Pop-Up Wedding where we partnered up with Bouchon Restaurant. We just love seeing the joy on everyone's faces and our flowers glowing right along side them. Thank you to C+E for letting us be part of your bliss-filled day! We wish you all the best on your forever adventure together.

A Little Pop-Up Wedding | San Francisco, CA

Last weekend we were very fortunate to team up with Bouchon Bistro & Thomas Keller Restaurant Group for a very special event in San Francisco! The event was staged as a small dinner party, but after guests arrived, enjoyed happy hour and hors d'oeuvres, they were surprised with a little bit more than your average dinner celebration.

The trickster gentleman who planned the dinner event was going to propose to his lady friend that very evening. Even more exciting, the engagement came with one stipulation, a Pop-Up Wedding, right then and there in this awesomely modern warehouse studio in front of only their closest loved ones! He even had a dress on stand-by ready for the impromptu ceremony. True romance at its finest!

The venue was located in the heart of the Mission District at Blackwell Files ~ Studios. The planning and execution was coordinated through Thomas Keller Restaurant Group's event planner, Austin, who was nothing less than a dream to work with!

So, what was requested of us? Moderate designs with interesting elements and little pops of color. An earthy feel with a modern edge, simple but just bold enough to grab the attention of the guests and compliment those bright orange chairs! We needed to keep the arrangements very tight as the food was the real star and served family style at the gorgeous modernized version of a farm table. In addition, the bride's bouquet needed to double as a centerpiece as the groom wanted to make certain not a soul knew about his "little" surprise.

We loved the feel of this space, the simplicity but bold impact of the floral designs, working with the Amazing Austin, and the delicious aroma of Bouchon treats coming from the "garage kitchen" where Chef cooked away to Lil' Wayne verses on repeat. Pretty much a dreamland. We cannot wait until our next event! Thank you Austin and TKRG for making our first Pop-Up Wedding a huge success!

Our arrangements included these floral beauties: David Austin "Patience" buttermilk roses, orange pin-cushion protea, orange ranunculus, white football mums, blue thistle, seeded eucalyptus, silver dollar eucalyptus, Queen Anne's Lace, green hypericum berries, rosemary, and bupleurum.
