Spring 2016 Farm to Vase Workshop

We are so excited to announce our Spring 2016 Farm to Vase Workshop! Over the past few years The Pollen Mill and Soul Food Farm have worked closely on various projects adjoining our businesses as colleagues but more importantly, woman business friends. Our workshops are a result of our love for nature, growing, creating, building our community, and sharing our passion with others. We are joined by the talented Crystal Lynn Photography who will be capturing and providing beautiful images of our fun-filled day on the farm.

Join us for a full Farm to Vase experience! Spring on the farm is a glorious show of new beginnings and bright hues. It's an exciting time of year to spend a day basking in nature's offerings and stretching your creative minds.

We start our day together with a tour of serene Soul Food Farm. The tour includes a short botanical lesson on flowers and plants grown on the farm as well as foraging and harvesting tactics. Attendees are then set free to harvest blooms and forage materials from the farm grounds. Soul Food Farm grows specialty flowers just waiting to be selected for display at our Farm to Vase Workshops. Following harvest, Kim Mills, owner and designer of The Pollen Mill gives hands-on instruction on creating a natural, garden aesthetic centerpiece for you to take home and enjoy. We then finish the afternoon with a delicious farm-to-table lunch celebration featuring bounty grown and cultivated directly on Soul Food Farm and surrounding local farms. Our meals are paired with beautiful small batch wine produced locally for a leisurely meal with much laughter and wonderful company. In the weeks following the workshop, you will be provided with stunning professional photographs (in digital image format) to commemorate our special day together. These workshops are a truly heart-warming experiences. We can't wait to share a special day on the farm with you!

Workshop Investment: $250 per attendee including all materials, instruction, floral centerpiece for you to take home, professional photographed digital images of our day, gift bag, farm-to-table lunch, and local small batch wine.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop 11.25.14

Happy November! Can you believe it's already holiday season? Phew, I sure can't! So in the theme of things, we are offering a Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop for anyone and everyone.

Our workshops are a great time to meet, mingle, learn, and share a love for flowers. I know this one is going to fill up with smiling faces, so please reserve your seat early.

Here are the details about the event...
The workshop will cover the basics of autumn fresh seasonal blooms, prepping flowers, movement, shape, and then placing and designing your Thanksgiving Table Centerpiece. Lots of fun colors and textures are available right now and through Thanksgiving. You may even see some veggie & fruit options to include in your design. :)

Fee: $35 for workshop plus $45 in materials ($80 total) if registered and paid by Tuesday November 18th. After November 18th, registration will increase to $85 per person.

DIY Floral Fun Workshop~ Summer Floral Crowns

We will provide all the materials to make your very own summer floral crown. Following the workshop you can then dance through the restaurant with a fine glass of wine in one hand and a slice of epic pizza in the other in your sweet, handmade floral crown. Can't wait to see you all there!

Dear Mama~DIY Floral Fun Workshop May 7th

You asked, we listened!
We've had numerous requests for a workshop on the basics of floral design, so here you go!
Come have some fun with flowers at our "Dear Mama~DIY Floral Fun Workshop." We will provide all of the materials you need to make & take home a one-of-a-kind arrangement for you, your mama, grandmama, or godmama.
The workshop will cover the basics of selecting fresh blooms, prepping flowers, inspiration, and then how to arrange your design in our signature loose garden-style. The spring blooms available right now are so absolutely stunning, you (and your mama) may be surprised at your exceptional hidden talents!
